Know Myself, Know My Teen
Your opinions and personal experiences are an asset as a parent. But they can also get in the way of listening with an open mind. Before discussing sensitive or tough topics with your teenager, reflect on your own feelings, memories, and opinions. This list of questions can help ensure open dialogue with your teen.
Our resources for parents/caregivers are free to download. While this resource is helpful for parents and caregivers, it is in need of an update and revisions. Please consider supporting the Adolescent Health Working Group with a donation to ensure we can continue updating resources for providers, parents, and young people.
All of our present resources serve as handouts with pages of information and tips. We are actively in the process of updating our resources. Note that our resources for parents/caregivers are not meant for direct youth consumption. However, these do contain resources for parents/caregivers to facilitate conversations with youth and their providers.
