Updated Resource: Peace Begins at Home

Adolescent Health Working Group (AHWG) is currently updating many resources that can be used by parents and caregivers, young people, and providers who work with adolescent youth.

We recently made changes to Peace Begins at Home, a free resource for parents and caregivers.

Parents and caregivers play a major role in minimizing violence by raising their children in safe and loving homes. Young people may witness violence, but caregivers can teach their children non-violent ways to solve problems. This document is a starting guide for parents and caregivers to consider what you can do at home.

The document provides six recommendations for a safer home, four topics to talk about with your child, and additional resources.
