New Resource: How to Keep Your Virtual Clubs Engaging

Earlier this fall we shared a new resource: Tips for Hosting Virtual Student Club Meeting. Adolescent Health Working Group encourages student clubs and groups to meet regularly, virtually. Isolation over a long period of time can harm a young person’s mental health. Creating a community is important to a students’ mental health and will help them be more engaged with both school and their peers.

As distance learning has continued, it can be challenging to continue engaging young people in student clubs. We’ve created an additional resource to help you keep your virtual clubs engaged.

The resource includes tips on building community, sending updates, organizing events, encouraging casual conversations, and additional resources.

  • Download the images as a pdf or series of .jpgs that your organization can share.
  • See our posts on Instagram.

The following resources are highlighted in the document:

  • Goodreads
  • Body Positive Yoga
  • Charades Idea Generator
  • Stony Brook University
  • Slack
  • University of Washington
