Free Lunches and Afternoon Snacks for SF Youth over Summer Vacation

  • Posted by Adolescent Health Working Group

While summers can be enjoyable for many San Francisco youth, they are difficult for young people and families that utilize free or reduced-price meals during the school year.

From June 5 to August 16, the San Francisco Unified School District and the San Francisco Department of Children, Youth and Their Families have over 70 locations in SF with free lunches and afternoon snacks to youth ages 18 and under.

There is no proof of need, registration, or identification to receive a lunch or snack. The only requirement: arrive at a designated site during any open site’s serving time. All sites will be clearly marked with large exterior banners. For more information, individuals can call 211 or 311.

You can also view the map below to see the locations. Please share this information with any young people and families that may benefit from the program.
